My life,
my legacy

” Children and youth are the future and our hope is in them. Their dreams are the greatest treasure and their smiles are the first step towards social transformation

I was born in Bogotá in January 1990. I come from a family where love has been the most important value. Since I was little I learned about the worth of responsibility, discipline and a good attitude. I learned to be happy with what it is truly important in life, and to dream, because dreams are the reason for living.

My parents, Jairo and Carolina educated me under the idea of raising children for the world and not a world for children. This  developed sense of social sensitivity in me and I found meaning and purpose. Thanks to their support and the trust of many people along my path,  I fulfilled my dream to be a professional bike rider.

Together with my great team, my family, we wanted to materialize our desire to help and contribute to the social transformation of Colombia. In 2016 we created Fundación Esteban Chaves (FUN), a place where impossible does not exist. Here, we believe that children and youth are the future  and we work to empower them to believe in their dreams and work towards them.

My greatest purpose is to contribute to a more inclusive, empathic and equitable country. I believe that the real transformation the world needs lays in the smile and happiness of every child.

With FUN we want to leave a lasting legacy for nurturing a way of being, acting, and living for future generations. I invite you to be part of this adventure. Together, we will show our solidarity and our love to build a better world.
